I grew up in a large extended family of chiropractors, (There have been 78 through the generations!) I remember well as a child my father, his brothers and their father excitedly talking about the cases they had seen, going off on housecalls and seeing patients at their offices. Since my father's office was downstairs from our home, I became used to patients coming and going through the years. Even as a child I wanted to be a chiropractor.
I graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and then attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, graduating in 1973. My first years of practice were in the San Francisco East Bay area. I returned to Santa Barbara, my home since late childhood, in 1981. My wife and I have two lovely daughters and three adorable grandchildren.
I am thankful to be involved in this incredible profession of chiropractic because I have the opportunity to help others every day in my career.
